Statement from Councillor Jackie Barnes
I wish to sincerely apologise to anyone who was hurt or offended due to my sharing of certain material on Facebook. This was most certainly not my intention. I am not the person that has been described in media reports about this issue. I will spend the rest of my life regretting actions which may cause pain to another human being. I accept and welcome the outcome of the Standards Committee (Hearings Panel), and will fully embrace their decision.
