The first four events have been announced as part of a year-long feast of arts, culture and fun to mark Stoke-on-Trent’s Centenary in 2025.
One hundred years since George V officially conferred city status, the year-long programme of events will celebrate Stoke-on-Trent and its people - past, present and future.
The first four events are now live on the official Centenary events calendar at sot100.org.uk. Residents are urged to check back regularly as scores of events will be added in coming days, weeks, and throughout the Centenary year.
The first events to join the calendar are:

Councillor Amjid Wazir, deputy leader of Stoke-on-Trent City Council said: “We’ve been planning our Centenary year events for a long time now so it’s great to be able to start sharing what’s going on with local people.
“These four events are the first in a series of events taking place throughout 2025 to celebrate everything our city has to offer. Whether you were born and raised here, moved away or only came to live here recently, our Centenary is for you and we’d love you to join in the celebrations.”
