A change to council’s cabinet announced

Councillor David Williams, ward councillor for Little Chell and Stanfield resigned on May 23, 2024 as the cabinet member for safe and resilient communities at Stoke-on-Trent City Council.

Councillor Majid Khan, ward councillor for Etruria and Hanley took over the portfolio with immediate effect from this date.

Councillor Khan was first elected as a Labour councillor in Tunstall in 2010 and was re-elected the following year to represent his current Etruria and Hanley ward. He has also served as Lord Mayor of Stoke-on-Trent twice.
