Works to improve a busy junction for road users and pedestrians are set to start in Meir.
Highway improvement works are scheduled to begin on Lysander Road, Meir, on Monday 25 March.
The works will take approximately 12 weeks and will see improved access, and reduced queuing and delays to Lysander Road between the A50 roundabout and Tesco roundabout.
During the first week, BT will access the site to undertake some diversionary work for their underground cables. The highway improvement works will start the following week.
Works will include widening the carriageway to introduce an additional lane and the current crossing point where the pedestrian refuge island is located, will be upgraded to a zebra crossing.
A spokesperson for Stoke-on-Trent City Council advised: “This is a busy junction, especially for pedestrians. The works are aimed at reducing congestion at this junction as we want to ensure the safety of all users of this route.
“I would like to thank highway users for their patience during this time and want to reassure residents and drivers that disruption will be kept to a minimum during this time.”
Traffic management will be in place throughout the works and motorists are advised to plan travel in advance.
