Bratwursts, Thai cuisine and decorated churros are just a few of the delicacies that will be on sale in Hanley this week.
The Continental Markets are back in Hanley city centre.
Shoppers will be treated to an array of continental cuisine including Chinese, German, Polish and Greek alongside many more.
There will also be a fantastic range of crafts, clothing and jewellery, brought to you by traders from all over the world.
The markets event will be supported by ‘RR Events’ and stalls will be mainly located on Parliament Row and Upper Market, and will join the regular outdoor traders’ who operate from Fountain Square, from Wednesday, November 16 until Saturday, November 19.
Councillor Carl Edwards, cabinet member for the environment said: “It’s brilliant that we are welcoming back the Continental Market to Stoke-on-Trent.
“Each year, they bring a fantastic sense of culture, delicious food and beautifully crafted items – I am looking forward to sampling some of the treats on offer
“We have a great city centre with some wonderful local businesses and market traders. Events like this attract more people to the area and increase footfall in these businesses.
“I would encourage anyone who has the time to pop along to the market, and see what there is on offer – I’m sure they won’t be disappointed.”
Richard Buxton, manager of Stoke-on-Trent City Centre Business Improvement District (BID), said:
"It's great to see an event such as this in the city centre, bringing together different cultures and communities and we're excited to see the streets come alive with stalls selling wonderful products and food from across the globe
“Making sure people visit the city centre and spend more time here is a key priority of the Stoke-on-Trent City Centre Business Improvement District and so we're elated that the Continental Market returns to Hanley, bringing with it a vibrant atmosphere and a fantastic range of artisanal foods and gifts."
The Continental Markets will be open from 10am to 6pm.
Hanley Indoor Market will continue to be open during its regular opening hours: Monday to Saturday, 9am to 5pm.
