Neighbourhood plans can help to decide future development in an area by identifying the best locations for future housing, employment, commercial and community uses.
The plan must meet local and national planning policies.
Communities can produce a neighbourhood plan for their local area, but they must form a neighbourhood forum first. A neighbourhood forum has to have a minimum of 21 people and meet certain other legal requirements.

You can see the current and proposed neighbourhood plans in our directory, with accompanying documents. If they are currently open for consultation, it will tell you how to send feedback.
