Following the registration, the registrar will provide you with a unique reference number and guidance to enable you to complete the Tell us Once service yourself either online or by telephone. The unique reference number will be posted to the informant alongside any additional paperwork such as death certificates.
Where the death is subject to an inquest with Her Majesty’s Coroner, the coroner’s officers will provide you with an interim death certificate. This will allow you to receive a unique reference number from the Registration Service to enable you to access the Tell us Once service. In this instance, please call us on the number below to make this request.
