Get involved

Your opinion matters to us. We believe that the best way to improve services is by working together with our residents. Your feedback is crucial to our understanding of what needs to change and how best to deliver that in a positive way.

To demonstrate this commitment to incorporating your views into our decision-making process, in 2021 we published our Housing Customer Engagement Strategy.

We understand that everyone has different availability and preferences for communicating with us. That’s why we have created multiple ways by which you can get involved, such as:

1. Surveys: You can share your thoughts with us through occasional or one-off surveys. This is a quick and easy way of letting us know what you think.

2. Scrutiny Groups: Join a group with other tenants to discuss a specific topic in more detail. You can choose an area you have a particular interest in, learn more about how the service works, provide us with recommendations for improvement and see these through to be implemented.

Examples of topics groups have focused on so far include:

  • Fire Safety
  • Anti-Social Behaviour
  • Repairs
  • Complaints
  • Damp and Mould

3. Tenant Voice Panel: As a member of the Tenant Voice, you will work closely with us to make decisions, including meeting at least once every 2 months with senior officers and the cabinet member responsible for housing.

There are also other activities you can get involved in, such as training courses and mystery shopping. As a mystery shopper you will test out how services work in ‘reality’, acting as a tenant, without that service knowing you are looking at what works well and what can be improved.

Want to get involved? If you would like to participate in any of these activities, have any ideas, or would like more information, please contact the Tenant Relations team:
