Parking permits

Resident permits

We issue resident permits to people living in properties included in a residential parking scheme. Resident permits cost £38.50 for 12 months and can only be used with the vehicle named on the permit.

The form guides you through the process and informs you of what documents you will need to supply to support your application and the total costs if applicable.

You will need to provide: 

  • proof of ownership and that each vehicle is registered to the property, such as your vehicle log book or insurance schedule (must show name, address and vehicle registration(s)
  • recent proof of address dated within 3 months, such as a:
    • Utility Bill
    • Bank Statement
    • Tenancy Agreement
    • Council Tax Bill

If you are a student and your vehicle is registered at your home address and not your term-time address, you will need to provide your log book or insurance schedule along with your tenancy agreement and student card. 

If your vehicle is owned by your companyin addition to your proofs you will need to provide a letter from your employer on headed paper stating you need to keep the vehicle near your property.  

When we have processed your application, you will receive an email

We are currently receiving a high demand for residential and visitor parking permits. 

Your request will be dealt with as soon as possible but please allow 10 working days before contacting us again.

When we have processed your application, you will receive an email containing a payment link.  On receipt of payment your permit/s will be posted to you usually within five working days.
