We are aware that some residents in Middleport, Longport and Porthill are being affected by intermittent odour problems, allegedly associated with Staffordshire Waste Recycling Centre.
To make it easier and quicker to share your concerns, and to try and help us understand the extent of the problem and establish potential causes, we would encourage anyone troubled by odours in these areas to let us know.

Staffordshire Waste Recycling Centre has been identified as a possible odour source. Waste activities are permitted by the Environment Agency and as such they are the lead regulator for the site. All complaints received via the online report form will be recorded and considered by our Public Protection team, and automatically sent to the Environment Agency. You will receive an email acknowledging receipt of your complaint and confirmation that it has been shared with the Environment Agency.
It may not be possible to provide individual updates, but we appreciate you taking the time to report your complaint, and if any more information is needed from you, a member of the team will be in touch.
