Disruption to online payments

Due to essential maintenance, our online payments systems will experience periods of disruption on Tuesday 22 April. We will be back up and running as soon as possible.

Appeal against a housing benefit decision

If you think the decision we have made about your benefit is wrong, or you don’t understand it, contact us to ask us to explain it.

You must contact us in writing within a month of receiving the decision about your housing benefit, to ask us to look at it again.

Send us any evidence that supports your case. It will be reviewed by someone who was not involved in making the original decision. You must tell us why you disagree with the decision, including any information which you believe we have got wrong in calculating your benefit.

We will write to you to tell you what our decision is, and what you can do next if you disagree with the decision.

Ask us to reconsider your housing benefit decision
