We assess the city to work out what land will be available in the future to develop housing on, called the strategic housing land availability assessment or SHLAA.
A site being included on or left off the SHLAA does not mean it will definitely become available for housing or remain unsuitable for housing.
Its inclusion or omission will not prejudice any planning application, which would be considered on its own merits.
We have created a map which shows sites in the city which have current or expired planning permission for housing development.
We have contacted the landowners of each of these sites, who have allowed us to include their site on the map, and said they are either available for sale or need a contractor to develop the land.
Contractors interested in a particular site can click on them and should contact the landowner directly. Their contact details are attached to the sites on the map.
We will be updating the map as sites are identified.
