Planning changes
The council is implementing a new IT system to help the planning team process planning applications more efficiently. The process is very complex and it means that we need to do things differently for a short time.
We plan to start migrating to the new system on 11 April. This means that some temporary changes will come into effect from this date.
Planning applications submitted prior to this date will be processed as normal, albeit there will be some delays to the decision-making process. We will of course try to minimise these as much as possible.
Planning applications submitted through the Planning Portal, post or by email after 5pm on 10 April 2025, will not be processed by the team until 6 May 2025.
Customers may also experience technical issues when trying to use the online planning maps and the online public access system.
Should you need to view the planning register during this period, please contact us directly: planning@stoke.gov.uk or 01782 232595.
If your application is affected, a member of the team will be in touch to discuss determination timescales.
Should you wish to make a comment on a planning application during this time, you can do this via email. If you need any help or assistance, please contact planning@stoke.gov.uk, or call a member of the planning team on 01782 232595. The full details of planning applications, including plans, can be viewed at the Civic Centre, Glebe Street, Stoke, Stoke-on-Trent, ST4 1HH.
We would like to thank you for your patience and understanding during this period.
