Draft Homelessness and Rough Sleeping Strategy Consultation

The Homelessness Act 2002 requires all local housing authorities to carry out a review of homelessness every five years and to use the findings to publish a strategy setting out how it will prevent and reduce homelessness and provide support to those affected by it.

In September, we published our draft Homelessness and Rough Sleeping Review following public consultation with residents and stakeholders.

The findings from that review have now been included in our draft Homelessness and Rough Sleeping Strategy 2025 – 2030, which will be put to Cabinet for adoption in July 2025.

We are now commencing a second and final phase of consultation to gather your views on whether you think the vision and priorities outlined in the strategy are the right ones and if they reflect an accurate picture of homelessness and rough sleeping in Stoke-on-Trent.
