Tunstall public realm consultation

Tunstall has been allocated £4.5m from the Levelling Up Programme for improvements to the public realm. The aims of the scheme are:

• To support existing businesses and improve business confidence and investment in the town centre.
• To improve civic pride and the historic core of the town in the areas around listed buildings such as the Town Hall and the clock tower.
• To increase footfall and amount of time people spend on the High Street and Tower Square as well as improving links to the adjacent retail areas.
• To provide a multifunctional space able to host a year-round programme of community events and festivals.
