SEND strategy

We have developed this Special Education Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Strategy to ensure that we have an agreed vision across the city and our partnerships so that children and young people with SEND have the right support, at the right time, delivered by the right people.

In developing this strategy we have worked with families, children and young people across the area to identify the priorities and improvements that are important to them and incorporated these into the strategy.

Priority Five – Skilled and knowledgeable professionals

A public consultation ran from Monday 26 February to Friday 5 April to give communities the chance to feedback on the strategy. Feedback from the engagement was carefully considered and reflected in the final version of the SEND Strategy whihc can be viewed by clicking the link below:
