| Who is this for? | In the final week you are invited to visit The University of Staffordshire and meet one of their faculty members for a talk about progression routes in Health and Social Care. This could be Level 3, Access to Higher Education or the Undergraduate programme available at the institution. You will have a guided tour of some of the simulation labs used to deliver teaching content of the course, along with some first hand experience of learning in this environment. |

| What will I learn? | With this introductory course you will gain insight into the skills and qualifications you need, as well as practical experience on using these skills. Topics covered include: - What do we mean by the term `health and social care sector¿? - What roles and opportunities are there in health and social care, along with the qualifications required. - What principles underline health and social care practice with an overview of the Care Certificate Standards and the 6Cs. - How to communicate effectively within health and social care and supporting the building of positive relationships with clients, service users and patients. - Confidentiality and what it means to social care practitioners, including the legislation frameworks that guide us. |
