Who is this for? | This workshop is suitable for adults with who would wish to develop the skills required to create and manage spreadsheets. This offers is for the development of computing skills in this area and will provide you with a better understanding of the role modern technology plays at home and at work. |
Entry requirements | 19 plus years of age. Live in Stoke-on-Trent. You will need a basic level of computer literacy. You should have a sufficient level of English language to engage in discussions, complete exercises, and understand course materials and to complete written assessments. |
What will I learn? | Entering and editing data. Formatting spreadsheet cells and data. Perform calculations Relative Referencing Page setup and printing options. How to load Microsoft Excel and recognise the common tabs tools and features available using columns/cells and to create simple spreadsheets. How to use a keyboard to enter data in spreadsheet cells, and use the formula bar to edit data. How to develop and enhance the visual impact of a spreadsheet by changing the appearance and alignment of column and row headings and the format of data. Interpretation and use of formulae to perform addition, subtraction, multiplication and division operations. How to change the page layout from portrait to landscape. How to use headers and footers to add information when printing such as name and date. How to use print preview and printing options. |
