Students or job seekers aiming to enhance their employability by acquiring intermediate-level computer skills. Those who wish to effectively use email for communication and internet for research and personal tasks. Anyone interested in expanding their digital literacy and ability to navigate common computer applications efficiently.
Entry requirementsNone, but preferred C4AB course attended. 19 plus years of age live in Stoke-on-Trent. Learners should ideally have some basic professional experience in a workplace environment. This ensures that they can relate to the workshop content and their practical experiences.
What will I learn?Microsoft Word. Introduction to Microsoft Word interface. Basic formatting (font, size, style). Creating and saving documents. Inserting and formatting text. How to insert headers and footers. Working with tables (creating, formatting) Using styles and themes. Reviewing and editing documents (spell check, track changes) Introduction to advanced formatting tools (sections, columns) Inserting and formatting hyperlinks. Finalizing and printing documents. Excel Introduction to Microsoft Excel interface. Basic data entry and cell formatting. Creating simple formulas and functions. Saving and opening Excel files. Working with ranges and cells. Introduction to common functions (SUM, AVERAGE, MAX, MIN).
