Adult Learning Register an Interest
We offer courses on a variety of subjects. If you don’t see the subject you’re interested in studying, email adult.learning@stoke.gov.uk We may be able to offer courses in the future if there is enough demand. When you have registered an interest in a course, if appropriate you must pay a deposit or pay for the course in full to guarantee your place. | This programme is suitable for adults who would like to gain a qualification in English at level 1 or level 2. If you would like to: support your children with their schoolwork get a place at a college or university get a job or change your career in the near future, this course may provide you with the qualification that you need to move on. A `level 2 qualification in Functional Skills English is recognised by employers, colleges and universities when considering a candidates suitability for a course or job role, much like a GCSE in English at grades 4 or C. This course is made up of 3 modules:- speaking,listening and communication, reading and writing. You will be required to complete an Initial Assessment prior to completing the course to ensure you are booked onto the correct level course. | Course Fee : £0.00 |
| As you work through your qualification, you will be supported by one of our friendly Tutors. Your Tutor will be an expert in the subject you’ve chosen; they’ll be there to give you information, advice and guidance throughout your learning and helpful feedback on the work you complete. Upon successful completion of your course, you’ll be awarded your certificate and we’ll provide you with advice about what you could move onto next. | |
