Wild Wednesday - The Gruffalo

Today's Wild Wednesday is inspired by the book - The Gruffalo by Julia Donaldson. The Gruffalo invites you to follow his trail, meet characters in the book and take part in activities.

For our Magic Monday, Wild Wednesday and Fantastic Friday children's summer holiday events this year, we've teamed up with Stoke 100 reads. Each of the events are inspired by different books from the Stoke 100 reads. Can you read all of the books we've focused on for each event? We will have special cards which will be stamped each time you complete a book. Today's Wild Wednesday is inspired by the book - The Gruffalo by Julia Donaldson. The Gruffalo invites you to follow his trail, meet characters in the book and take part in activities to discover the wildlife garden using your senses. PLEASE NOTE:- This event is for children aged 4 years or over (it isn't appropriate for those under 4). This event was highly popular last year, so we will offer 3 x 40 min sessions this year. But at a maximum of 30 people per session. BOOKING IS ESSENTIAL. Once you have booked you will need to be available to start promptly at the time given. Times for starts of sessions are:- 1:10 pm, 1:50pm and 2:30pm. (Starting from the car park and play areas simply follow the main path to the bandstand, cross the canal using the bridge and you'll see our building over to your right).
