DRIVE: Fixing our roads

Road Repairs Underway Across Stoke-on-Trent

DRIVE Campaign asset

We're fixing our roads!

After a tough winter and spring, our roads took a beating. But our highways team has been working hard to repair the damage. Since launching our road repair campaign, DRIVE, on May 7th, we've fixed over 4,000 potholes and other road problems.

We know good roads are important for everyone in Stoke-on-Trent. That's why we're committed to keeping our 617 miles of road network in good condition. We're using a mix of permanent or preventative repairs to make sure our roads can handle whatever the weather throws at them.

We're not stopping there. To help prevent future problems and while repairs continue, we're planning preventative work to begin in August 2024 ready for the colder months. This will save money in the long run and keep our roads in better condition minimising future damage.

We're grateful for the government funding that's helping us make these repairs happen. This money, along with extra funds from Network North, means we can focus on fixing the most urgent problems first.

The DRIVE campaign continues

Our road repair campaign, DRIVE, is still going strong. We're determined to make our roads safer for everyone.
