Returning to the office Dear colleague, We moved quickly to implement the government’s COVID-19 legislation and guidance and over the last 12 months we have seen all of you respond to the need to work in different ways. Your work and that of your colleagues during this period has been tremendous and by adapting to working from home it has meant that residents and businesses have been fully supported to cope with the uncertainty these times have brought. As we look towards the future and what we hope is a return to more levels of normality we now need to consider what learning we can take from the last 12 months and how we can fully embrace new ways of working that afford us the ability to offer you more flexibility and enable us to make better use of our assets. In the last survey you clearly told us that a new, more hybrid way of working, would be your preference and we are now looking at how we can best implement that but would really love to hear from you again to make sure that this still is the preferred way forward and if there is anything particular you would like to see us put into place to assist you in returning to the work place. We know that some of you will be nervous about returning so we are looking for your suggestions on what we can do to reassure you. Please take time out to do this survey, tell me what has gone well and what else you would like to see in place, openly and honestly. The survey will take about 10 minutes to complete and your line manager will actively encourage you to compete it. The survey will close on 6 June and the results of the survey will be feedback to staff and mangers as soon as we can after that date. Yours faithfully, Jon Rouse City Director
