Organisation - Stoke on Trent City Council

Thinking of Fostering?

Stoke-on-Trent City Council’s fostering service is looking for applicants to be trained as new foster carers for our vulnerable children. If you can offer an occasional overnight or weekend stay, or full-time care from your home, we want to hear from you.

Ideally we want children to stay nearby the places and faces familiar to them, so if you think you have the time and are from Stoke-on-Trent or the surrounding areas, you might be just who we are looking for.

We must carry out references, a fostering assessment, training and checks on all applicants to help us make sure that fostering is right for you.

For further information, visit www.stoke.gov.uk/fostering or contact the fostering team by telephone 01782 234555 or email fostering@stoke.gov.uk. You can also find us on YouTube @StokeFostering.
Familiar Faces, Familiar Places.

If approved, fostering services will be provided on the basis of a fostering agreement with the local authority in line with Fostering Regulations, 2011. We provide fostering allowances to all approved foster carers to help cover the costs of caring for the fostered children placed with them.
