Listen to our web site
We have introduced a new service to help people with reading difficulties. You can now listen to Stoke-on-line by installing some free software from Browsealoud.
Browsealoud is a plug in designed for use with Internet Explorer and Netscape Navigator. It allows you to control the voice, speed and pitch. When you scroll over any text on our website, Browsealoud will read and speak the text out to you. You may find it useful if:
- you have problems with literacy and reading skills;
- English is not your first language;
- you are dyslexic; or
- you have a mild visual impairment.
Before you install Browsealoud you can get some more information by visiting the Browsealoud website. Or you can take a Browsealoud video tour by clicking on the image below.
